The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) offer a unique opportunity for students to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country. These scholarships aim to support students committed to creating positive change in their communities. Scholars will have the chance to experience a new country and culture, broaden their horizons, and build a lasting global network.

Application Cycles

There are two application cycles each year:

  • Cycle 1: Opens in November/December
  • Cycle 2: Opens in March/April

Application Process

  1. Review Available Scholarships: Look through the list of countries and universities hosting scholarships in the current cycle.
  2. Course Information: Visit the relevant university websites for more information on your chosen courses.
  3. Submit QECS Application: Complete and submit a QECS application for your chosen university/course by clicking the ‘Apply now’ button on the QECS website. If you don’t have a myACU account, click ‘get started’ to create one and start your application.
  4. University Admission Application: Submit a separate application to your chosen university for admission to your selected course.
