Technicol Sa College NSC (Technical Matric)
National Senior Certificate
The National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations commonly referred to as “matric” has become an annual event of major public significance. It not only signifies the culmination of twelve years of formal schooling but the NSC examinations is a barometer of the health of the education system.
A National Senior Certificate is issued by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and are regulated by UMALUSI. Umalusi is responsible for the quality assurance of assessment in the Grade 12-year and issues the National Senior Certificate to successful candidates.
Doing your Technical NSC through Technicol SA College means that you do not need to write all 6 subjects at once in November, but that you have 3 exams and can finish your subjects at your own pace.
Here is a list of a few subjects that we recommend:
- Industrial Organization and Planning N3
- Industrial Orientation N3
- Supervision in Industry N3
- Sake Afrikaans N3 (Compulsory Openbook in November)
- Business English N3 (Compulsory Openbook in November) &
- Any 1 Trade Subject N3
You can now obtain your National Senior Certificate (Technical Matric) by completing four (4) N3 Subjects. Sake Afrikaans and Business English can then be added – giving you a total of 6 Subjects – which is required for a National Senior Certificate (Technical Matric). Please note that Sake Afrikaans and Business English will only be written in November. These 2 subjects are Open-Book Exams.
To enrol for NSC/Technical matric:
Combine an engineering studies enrolment form (Classes/ Correspondence) with Sake Afrikaans and Business english enrolment form and submit.
