Durban is the largest city in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It is located on the east coast of South Africa. The city and wider metropolitan area are one of the unhealthiest in South Africa due to chronic water shortages, poor sewage infrastructure and inadequate housing conditions.
The name eThekwini is isiZulu for “bay” or “lagoon.” The name comes from the large estuary that stretches from Durban to the KwaZulu-Natal coast.
Isipingo is a town situated 19 kilometres (12 mi) south of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and currently forms part of eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality.
