Be sure to watch the short (just 3 and a half minutes long) “Getting started with myUKZN” video before you start using your myUKZN mailbox.
How to access your new mailbox
- Before you access your new mailbox for the first time, you need to change your UKZN password via Password Self-Service
- Then, open a browser and go to http://www.outlook.com
- Sign in using
- your new email username: studentnumber@stu.ukzn.ac.za (Do you see the ‘my’ that’s been added in to your email address?)
- and the password that you just changed.
- Your mailbox opens.
How to pull in your GroupWise (or other) email
- From within your mailbox, click Options then select See All Options.
- It opens up a new screen. Click Connected Accounts.
- A new screen opens. Click New… and type in your old email address (studentnumber@stu.ukzn.ac.za) and the password that you just changed.
- Click Next and click Finish.
- It will begin pulling in your email.
