KPMG Bursaries:
KPMG offers two bursary opportunities for students pursuing a career as SAICA-accredited Chartered Accountants or CAs(SA):
- Pure Merit Bursary: This bursary is for qualified applicants who do not require extensive funding for their studies.
- Merit Bursary with Financial Needs: This bursary is for qualified applicants who are unable to attend university without significant financial support.
Bursaries are awarded based on academic performance and records, as well as KPMG’s skills needs in the professional services marketplace. KPMG reserves the right to determine the type and amount of bursary awarded to each candidate. The bursary contract is subject to the student entering into a learnership (training contract) with KPMG, which will begin after obtaining a CTA/GDA qualification from a SAICA-accredited university.
Bursary Requirements And Eligibility:
To be eligible for a KPMG bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Full-time students of a SAICA-recognized degree at a SAICA-accredited tertiary education institution
- Consistent academic achievements throughout the period of study
- Strong academic record
- Proven financial need if applying for the Merit bursary with financial need

To apply for a KPMG bursary, you first need to apply for a training contract with KPMG by visiting KPMG’s training contract application page and following the application process.
After applying for a training contract and, if eligible, receiving a Taleo reference number, you can proceed to apply for the KPMG bursary by visiting KPMG’s bursary application page.
Make sure to use Google Chrome for an optimal experience when applying from a PC or laptop. Please submit clear copies of the required supporting documents along with your application, including your curriculum vitae, certified copy of your ID, matric results, and university results if applicable.
Closing Date:
The KPMG bursary application process for 2025-2026 is currently open and does not have a specific closing date. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to ensure their applications are processed in a timely manner.
