FirstRand International Postgraduate Scholarships 2025-2026
FirstRand is offering five scholarships for international postgraduate studies to South African citizens for the Academic Year . The scholarship options include:
- FirstRand FNB Fund Oxford Education Scholarship: For a master’s degree in education.
- FirstRand FNB Fund Scholarship: For international postgraduate study in education.
- FirstRand Foundation Scholarship: For international postgraduate study.
- FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship: For international postgraduate study in any discipline at an international university.
- FirstRand Oxford African Studies Scholarship: For studies at the University of Oxford.
Applicants must apply online for the scholarships, including required reference letters and necessary documents. Applicants must have already applied directly to their chosen university. Decisions made by the adjudication panels are final, and correspondence regarding these decisions will not be entertained. Applicants who have studied or are studying overseas are ineligible for the scholarship. Successful applicants are required to return to South Africa for at least five years after completing their studies.

Applicants should excel academically in their chosen field of study and demonstrate strength of character, leadership qualities, community involvement, and potential to inspire change in their chosen field.
How to Apply
- Register an account and then log in on the scholarship application portal at https://bursaries.firstrand.co.za/.
- Prepare supporting documentation: copy of ID document, photo of face, copy of Matric results, minimum of 2 references, and a personal statement explaining why you deserve the scholarship (max. 1,000 words).
- Submit your application along with the required documents.
Opening and Closing Date
Applications open on 16 December and close on 3 March 2025-2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
