About Mulilo:

Mulilo is a renewable energy developer and strategic equity investor established in 2008. It focuses on providing clean and affordable electricity in South Africa, with a particular emphasis on Wind and Solar PV technologies. Mulilo operates solar and wind farms throughout the country, with projects totaling 420 MW. The company is committed to driving Africa towards a sustainable future and actively engages in community-focused initiatives and social responsibility projects.

Mulilo Bursary Fund 2024-2025:

The Mulilo Bursary Fund was established in 2014 to assist underprivileged students in completing their education. Over the years, the bursaries have supported numerous students within the communities where Mulilo operates. For the academic year 2024-2025, Mulilo is accepting applications from eligible students pursuing studies in any field of study. Students from universities within the regions where Mulilo operates can apply.

The bursary covers the following costs:

  • Tuition fees
  • Textbook allowance
  • Accommodation
  • Monthly stipend

The selection process involves telephone interviews and in-person interviews. Successful candidates will be announced by 15 January 2024-2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Mulilo Bursary 2024-2025, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must not be older than 35 years of age at the time of applying.
  • Must reside within the Northern Cape province.
  • Must have either completed Matriculation or be currently studying at Matric level.
  • Must be either studying or have applied for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
  • Must be either studying or have applied at a South African tertiary institution, including a university, Technicon, or TVET college.

Meeting these criteria does not guarantee selection, as the final decision will be based on the outcome of interviews conducted by the Mulilo selection committee.

How To Apply:

If you meet the eligibility criteria, follow these steps to apply for the Mulilo Bursary 2024-2025:

  1. Complete an online application form. Access the form online. The form will require you to provide information about the type of application (undergraduate, postgraduate, graduate, or study abroad program), applicant details, family biographical information, and your past and current education.
  2. Submit the required documents, including ID documents, Matric certificate (or current Matric results if currently in Matric), full academic records, proof of registration at a recognized tertiary institution (on institution letterhead), and a motivational essay as described in the application form.
  3. Selected candidates may be asked to provide a testimonial from someone within their community, followed by a series of interviews.

Closing Date:

The closing date for the Mulilo Bursary 2024-2025 is 03 October. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
