ABOUT THE COMPANY – NANOTEQ
Nanoteq is a South African-owned company operating in the security domain. The company was founded in 1988 with the primary goal of creating cryptographic technology for military radio systems and mobile phones. Today, Nanoteq offers a wide range of quality cryptographic products and solutions, with varying levels of customization.
Headquartered in Centurion, Gauteng, Nanoteq has 30 years of experience in the security field. The company serves various government agencies and local and international clients. Its core offerings include Voice & Fax Security, Workstation & Mobile Security, Network Security Layer 2, Network Security Layer 3, and Supportive Offerings.
ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE VALUE
Nanoteq is awarding bursaries to deserving undergraduate students in the following fields of study:
- Computer Engineering (B Eng)
- Electronic Engineering (B Eng)
Bursaries are awarded up to a maximum value of R80,000 per student per year.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and if you do not receive feedback within 60 days of the application deadline, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying full-time toward a qualification in Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering (in your 2nd or 3rd year of study)
- Completed your 1st year of studies
- Studying at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa
- Excellent academic record
- Keen interest in research and development
- From a previously disadvantaged background
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY
If you meet the minimum eligibility requirements and wish to apply, please submit clear copies of the following documents (the submission of these documents is compulsory – any missing items will result in your application being disregarded):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate (certified copy)
- Full tertiary academic record (certified copy)
- Curriculum Vitae (including full name, ID number, gender, race, contact information, telephone number, email address, Matric year and results, tertiary details and results)
- Details of any other bursaries or financial assistance received
