Old Mutual is committed to nurturing young talent in South Africa and helping them achieve success in their careers. Through the Actuarial Bursary, Old Mutual invites exceptional South African students who are interested in pursuing a career in Actuarial Science to apply for the program.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants for the Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizenship
- Below 21 years of age
- Currently studying or have completed Matric
- No post-matric qualification
- Minimum 80% in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), 70% in all other subjects, 60% in English HL, or 70% in English FAL
- Commitment to becoming an Actuary and working for Old Mutual after graduation
- Applied for or currently studying at one of the specified universities
Application Process:
To apply for the Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary, follow these steps:
- Complete the Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary Motivation Form 2024-2025.
- Complete the online application along with the gamified assessment (untimed).
Selection Process:
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete psychometric tests.
- Selected candidates will be called for interviews on the ‘Selection Day.’
- If successful in the interview, candidates will receive a provisional offer upon submitting final matric results and proof of university acceptance for Actuarial Science.
Important Note:
- If under 18 years old, parental/guardian consent is mandatory.
- Preference will be given to under-represented designated groups, including the disabled.
- Preference will be given to applicants from previously underprivileged backgrounds or those with financial needs.
