The Overberg District Municipality Bursary encompasses tuition fees, textbooks, and accommodation for eligible students. Open to residents of the Overberg District, this programme supports full-time studies in fields such as engineering, finance, human resource management, and environmental science, among others.
The bursary offers students an excellent chance to receive the necessary support for achieving their educational objectives while also contributing to the region’s development.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria to be considered for the bursary programme:
- Residency: Permanent residency within the Overberg District.
- Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
- Nationality: South African citizenship.
- Field of Study: Full-time studies in fields aligned with the municipality’s core business operations, including engineering, finance, and management.
- Qualification: Completion of Matriculation and pursuing or intending to pursue a first degree or National Diploma.
- Financial Need: Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds requiring financial aid to continue their studies.
Note: Fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a bursary award. The final decision will be made by the Overberg District Municipality based on a comprehensive review of each applicant’s profile.
