HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION

An online application or a fully completed application form and recently certified (certification may not be not older than one year) copies of your original identity document and (National) Senior Certificate and/or highest academic results, as well as the administration fee, must reach TUT before the specified closing dates. Online applications can be completed by clicking on this link: https://ipenabler.tut.ac.za/pls/prodi03/w99pkg.mi_login

If you cannot apply online, you can request a manual application form from the TUT’s Contact Centre telephonically on 0861102421 (option 1) or by email to General@tut.ac.za or you can download it on the Website www.tut.ac.za and click on Enrolment.

Late applications will be considered only if there is space available in the programmes concerned. TUT can accommodate only a limited number of students per programme.

Please contact the Admission Office on any of the following numbers 012 382 5780/5750/4891/5132/4388 or email Admission@tut.ac.za to find out whether you have been accepted and with any other enquiries. You can also check your application status online from 4 weeks after applying on www.tut.ac.za and click Online Application Status under Quick Links. All other application and course information enquiries should be directed to the Contact Centre on 0861102421 or email General@tut.ac.za.

Administration fee

A once-off administration fee of R240 must accompany all first-time applications for 2016. This fee covers the administration cost of processing application forms and is non-refundable in the event of your application being unsuccessful.

The administration fee may be deposited at ABSA Bank, account number 04000 0003. Please write your ID number in the reference column on the deposit slip. The original deposit slip should accompany the application form (keep a copy of the deposit slip safe for future reference) together with your Grade 11 final report or Grade 12 mid-year report and a certified ID copy. Online applicants can upload these documents on the system or send them via email to Admission@tut.ac.za (please ensure that you write your reference number clearly on each copy).

Warning

Do not include cash with application forms sent by mail. Rather use postal orders or cheques, and send by registered mail.

Reference number

When your application has been processed between 4 and 8 weeks, you will be allocated a unique reference number for identification purposes. Once you have received this number, you should use it in all correspondence with the institution.
