REMARKS
a. Admission requirement(s):
A Baccalaureus Technologiae: Language Practice, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (Languages),
or an equivalent qualification. Candidates should have passed Research Methodology before
registration. They should be aware that admission is not open-ended, and that it will largely be
influenced by, but not limited to, supervision capacity within the Department.
b. Selection criteria:
Departmental selection is required prior to registration. Additional requirements may be set
to ensure the required status. Preliminary examinations may be set.
c. Duration:
A minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.
d. Presentation:
Block-mode classes and research.
e. Dissertation:
A candidate for the Magister Technologiae: Language Practice also has to submit a research
report on a language-related topic approved by the Faculty Board on recommendation of the
Head of the Department. The method of instruction will be determined by the Head of the
Department.
