Undergraduate Certificate Study

Undergraduate Diploma Study
A National Senior Certificate (NSC) certified by Umalusi.
A minimum achievement rating of 3 (Moderate Achievement, 40-49%) in four recognized 20-credit NSC subjects.
Bachelor’s Degree Study
For NSC holders: Pass a minimum of four subjects with a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
For South African Senior Certificate holders: Need a matriculation endorsement.
For holders of non-South African school-leaving certificates: Must qualify for a matriculation exemption certificate. (Refer to the Matriculation Board website for details).
Minimum Language Proficiency
South African Senior Certificate Applicants: A pass of 40% or more in English (Higher Grade) as a First or Second Language.

Calculating Admissions Points Score (APS)
The APS is calculated based on the percentages achieved in NSC examinations.
The sum of six subjects, excluding Life Orientation, including English and required subjects for the specific program, will be considered.
Subjects with results below 40% do not contribute to the APS.
