ABOUT THE ALFECO BURSARY PROGRAM
Alfeco Holdings is an integrated metals company in South Africa consisting of four divisions: Veer Aluminum, Pioneer Metals, Veer Energy, and Veer Steel Mills. These divisions offer various products, including aluminum, copper and copper-based alloys, energy products, and steel products. Alfeco is committed to skills development in the metals sector and supports initiatives to equip youth with the necessary skills for the workplace.
FIELDS COVERED
Alfeco is offering bursaries for the 2025-2026 academic year in the following fields:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Draughting and Technical Design
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental Management and Safety
- Finance
- Human Resources Management
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Occupational Health and Safety
Students pursuing studies in other fields may also apply for consideration.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the Alfeco Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Have completed Matric.
- Be studying or enrolled to study towards a qualification in one of the specified fields.
- Be studying or enrolled to study at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Students with disabilities are welcome to apply.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for the Alfeco Bursary, follow these steps:
- Download and complete the Alfeco Bursary Application Form in PDF format.
- Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate or final results
- Full academic record if currently studying
- Proof of registration or acceptance from the institution (on the institution’s letterhead)
- Proof of residence
- Medical certificate if disabled
- Short Curriculum Vitae
- Applications must be sent via email to bursaries@alfecoholdings.com. In the email subject line, insert “Alfeco Bursary Application.”
CLOSING DATE
The closing date for applications for the Alfeco Bursary is 31 May . Ensure that you submit your application before this date, as late applications will not be accepted.
