It is the largest municipality within the district and is located between the Free State and Lesotho. About the Okhahlamba Municipality Bursary Program:
The Okhahlamba Municipality offers bursaries to students pursuing specific fields of study. The bursary covers the following fields:
- Civil Engineering
- Agricultural Studies
- Town Planning
- Accounting (B.Com)
The aim of the bursary is to cover all study-related expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- South African citizenship
- Reside within the Okhahlamba Municipality
- Completed Matric or currently in Matric
- Intending to study full-time at a recognized South African tertiary institution
- Applied or been accepted to study at a tertiary institution through CAO (Central Applications Office)
- Must not be a Municipal Official, Councillor, or a biological relative of a Municipal Official or Councillor
- Proven financial need

- Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (all documents are compulsory, and missing items may result in your application being disregarded):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric June results (if currently in Matric, certified copy)
- Matric certificate/statement of results (if completed Matric, certified copy)
- Proof of application/acceptance to study at a tertiary institution through CAO
- Proof of residential address (from traditional local authorities/ward councillor)
- Parents/guardians’ proof of household income (payslips if employed, sworn affidavit if unemployed, pension slips if on a pension, or death certificate if deceased)
- Motivational letter supporting your application
