About STANLIB:

STANLIB, a multi-specialist asset manager, was established in 2002 through a merger between Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank (a subsidiary of Standard Bank of South Africa Limited) and Liberty Asset Management (LIBAM) (a subsidiary of Liberty Holdings). It has since become the largest unit trust company in terms of market share, managing capital for over 500,000 clients. Headquartered in Johannesburg, STANLIB operates in eight countries across Africa and key developed international markets. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of JSE-listed Liberty Holdings Limited. STANLIB connects its institutional and retail clients with various investment opportunities across different asset markets and classes.

About the STANLIB Bursary Program:

STANLIB awards bursaries to deserving students in various fields of study, including Accounting, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Finance, and Investment Management.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the STANLIB Bursary:

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You should have completed Matric.
  • You must have a strong academic record, with a minimum overall average of 70% in all courses or subjects.
  • You should have studied Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy).
  • You should be studying toward an Undergraduate (first/second/third year) or Postgraduate (Honours) qualification in one of the aforementioned fields.
  • You must be from a previously disadvantaged background.

Bursary Coverage:

The STANLIB Bursary is aimed at covering tuition fees and other related costs for eligible students.

How to Apply:

To apply for the STANLIB Bursary, follow these steps:

  1. Download and complete the STANLIB Bursary Application Form.
  2. Ensure that you submit clear copies of the required supporting documentation with your completed application form.

Closing Date:

The closing date for bursary applications is October 30. Please note that applications for 2019 opened on September 14, 2018. Applications submitted after the specified closing date will not be accepted.
