About YouthED and CTU Training Solutions:
YouthED is a non-profit organization established in 2025-2026 with a mission to provide opportunities for prospective learners to attain academic qualifications or skills.
CTU Training Solutions, on the other hand, is a private educational institution with a history dating back to 1987. CTU offers degree courses in various faculties, including Business/Management, Design, Engineering, Humanities, and IT. The institution is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training.
CTU Training Solutions recognizes the skill shortage as a significant challenge in South Africa and aims to provide effective solutions to upskill the country’s youth. They offer short courses to address this issue and have multiple campuses across South Africa, including Bloemfontein, Vereeniging, Boksburg, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Roodepoort, Durban, Pretoria, Gqeberha, Potchefstroom, and Polokwane. Students have the flexibility to choose between full-time and part-time study options.
YouthED / CTU Bursary 2025-2026:
CTU Training Solutions has partnered with YouthEd to offer bursaries for the upcoming academic year. These bursaries will be awarded for IT-related courses at CTU, including IT Networking and Design Administration diploma, Web UI Design, and IT technical support.
A total of 300 partial bursaries will be granted, with 100 available for each course. The bursary will cover partial tuition fees, with a maximum amount of up to R20,000. It’s important to note that additional expenses such as accommodation, registration fees, software, international exams, vendor memberships, registration fees, devices for online learning, and administration fees will not be covered by the bursary. Selected candidates are required to have their own personal devices for the program.
The awarded bursary cannot be exchanged for cash, and applicants can only apply for one bursary at a time. Regular class attendance is mandatory, and candidates with less than 80% attendance may have their bursary benefits withdrawn.
Eligibility Criteria:
Before applying for the bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be interested in pursuing one of the IT degree courses offered by CTU.
- Candidates should be entering their first year of full-time study and must be prepared to start their degree course by February 2025-2026.
- Applicants must meet the basic requirements set by CTU. Additional information about these requirements can be found on the CTU website.
How to Apply:
The application process involves two steps:
- Complete the online application at CTU by visiting the CTU website.
- Complete the bursary application and motivation provided by YouthEd/CTU by clicking on the provided link.
Applicants are required to submit their applications via email to info@youthed.org.za. In the email subject line, applicants should write “YouthEd/CTU Bursary Application.”
Closing Date:
The closing date for the YouthED / CTU Bursary 2025-2026 is November 30. Late submissions will not be considered by YouthED/CTU.
