About the Bridgestone Bursary Program:
Bridgestone Southern Africa is offering bursaries to students from Port Elizabeth for the 2025-2026 academic year. The bursaries are available for various fields of study, including:
- Business/Commercial/Finance (BCom degree)
- Finance/Marketing/Human Resources/Project Management and related qualifications (BCom degree)
- IT (BCom degree)
- Engineering-related qualifications
- Linguistic and Art-related qualifications
- Safety-related qualifications
- Property Management and Real Estate-related qualifications
- Medical and Nursing-related qualifications
- LLB/BA Law/BCom Law
- Technical qualifications (N4, N5, N6, and related qualifications)
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Bridgestone Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African citizenship
- Reside in Port Elizabeth
- Completed Matric
- Accepted or registered to study at a South African tertiary institute for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Studying or registered for a qualification in one of the specified fields of study
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 60% for the previous year of study (2020)
- Undertaking part-time or full-time studies
- Not receiving any other bursary funding from another organization or company
How to Apply for the Bridgestone Bursary:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply by submitting clear copies of the following supporting documents (compulsory for application):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Latest academic record/transcripts (on institution’s letterhead)
- Proof of admission or registration at a tertiary institute for the 2025-2026 academic year (on institution’s letterhead)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivational letter explaining why you should be selected to receive the bursary award (maximum 300 words)
Applications must be submitted electronically via email to: bsaf.HROrgDesign@bridgestone.co.za. Please include “PE 2025-2026 Bursary Application” in the email subject line. There is no application form; students need only submit the required documents to apply.
Closing Date for the Bridgestone Bursary:
The closing date for applications is 12 April 2025-2026. Late applications will not be accepted, so be sure to apply before the closing date to ensure your application is considered.
