Bester Feed & Grain (Pty) Ltd (Bester) is an agricultural trading company established in 1994, specializing in the domestic and international marketing of grain, oilseeds, and animal feed ingredients. Bester is part of the BexGroup, a holding company for various businesses in the agricultural and logistics value chain. Bester focuses on agricultural commodities such as grains, fishmeal, feed additives and minerals, oilcakes, millers’ by-products, oilseeds, lucerne, and pecans.
Bester Bursary & Graduate Development Programme Fields Covered:
Bester is offering bursaries and a graduate development programme for the 2024-2025 academic year in the following fields:
- Agriculture
- Business
- Finance
- Logistics/Supply Chain
- Marketing
Bester Bursary Benefits and Service Contract:
Bursary recipients will enjoy the following benefits:
- Full coverage of tuition fees.
- Mandatory vacation work for two weeks in June/July and two weeks in November/December, with market-related payment.
- Guidance and mentoring from senior managers at Bester.
Upon graduation, bursary recipients will be required to work for Bester for a duration equal to the funding received.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to apply:
- South African citizenship
- Currently studying toward a degree qualification in one of the specified fields
- In the second year of study or higher
- Enrolled at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution
- Minimum overall average of 65%
- Willingness to work at the company
- Energetic and driven
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Afrikaans
- Strong analytical skills
- Team player
- Preference may be given to EE (Employment Equity) candidates
