About Foskor
Foskor was established in 1951 by the Industrial Development Corporation with the goal of producing phosphates to support the agricultural sector in South Africa. Currently, Foskor is the sole producer of phosphate ore, phosphoric acid, and granular fertilizer in the country. The company is engaged in phosphate rock mining, phosphoric acid production, and the manufacture of phosphate-based fertilizers. Mining activities are conducted in Limpopo, Phalaborwa, while processing takes place at the Richards Bay plant in KwaZulu-Natal.
Foskor Bursary South Africa 2025-2026
Foskor is offering bursaries for the academic year 2025-2026 and invites students to apply for this opportunity. The bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in various disciplines, including:
- Electrical Engineering
- Accounting (BCom)
- Management Science (majoring in Business Analytics) (BCom)
- Law
- Metallurgy
- Mechanical Engineering
- Quantity Surveying
- Mining Engineering
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Foskor by April 21. If you do not receive any communication by this date, consider your application unsuccessful.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements. Not meeting these requirements will result in disqualification:
- Successful completion of Matric
- Minimum of 60% for Science and Mathematics or a Commercial subject at higher grade
- Full-time enrollment in an undergraduate degree program within one of the specified fields
- Enrollment at a recognized and accredited South African University
- Not currently receiving any other bursaries

Required Documents
Applicants must provide clear copies of the following documents. Failure to submit any of these items may lead to disqualification:
- Certified copy of your Identity (ID) document
- Certified copy of your Matriculation certificate
- A concise Curriculum Vitae (CV) including contact details (max one page)
- Proof of enrollment at a tertiary institution on the institution’s letterhead, indicating the field of study
