About GWK:
GWK (Griekwaland Wes Koöperasie) is an agribusiness organization with three subsectors: GWK Agri, GWK Farm Foods, and GWK Trading. Within these subsectors, GWK operates various brands that offer products and services related to agriculture and agribusiness. Some of these brands include FloTank for agricultural logistical services, Valley for irrigation solutions, Fresh by Nature, GWK Farms, Landzicht, MVW for veterinary supplies, Profarmer, GWK Properties, SA Feed Phosphates, and Sidi Parani for fertilizer needs.
GWK Ben Scholtz Bursaries:
GWK offers the Ben Scholtz bursary fund to support qualified individuals in obtaining degrees that are relevant to the GWK Group. The bursary program covers a range of fields related to agribusiness and corporate management. It includes support for fields such as administration, finance and accounting, marketing, information technology, logistics, mechanics and irrigation, and many others.
The Ben Scholtz bursary fund covers registration fees, class fees, and book expenses. Upon completing their studies, bursary recipients may have the opportunity to work for the GWK Group. In cases where there are no available vacancies, the bursary will be converted into a loan that must be repaid to GWK.
Bursary Requirements and Eligibility:
To be eligible for the GWK Ben Scholtz bursaries, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizenship.
- Strong academic performance.
- Pursuing a qualification in one of the relevant fields mentioned.
- Enrolled at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
