Investec Bank CSI Bursary 2025-2026

Investec offers partial bursaries to full-time students pursuing undergraduate degrees relevant to financial services and key industries. These fields include Actuarial Science, Commerce (various specializations), Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Commercial LLB, and degrees towards Medicine (MBCHB).

Requirements and Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Investec Bank CSI Bursary, applicants must meet these criteria:

  • Proven financial need.
  • Outstanding academic merit.
  • Full-time students pursuing an undergraduate academic degree in one of the specified fields.
  • For Actuarial Science students, this opportunity is for those in their 2nd year of study or higher.
  • First-year Actuarial Science students already at a public university.
  • Currently in Grade 12 with a National Senior Certificate.
  • Minimum 50% in all subjects, with a minimum of 70% in Mathematics and 70% in English.

Note: Changing your degree program after submitting your application may lead to the cancellation of your bursary if already granted.

Ensure all required documents are attached to the application form:

  • Certified copy of your South African ID.
  • Grade 11 results, this year’s June results, official Matric/NSC results (if completed Grade 12).
  • June results or progress report for all subjects (if no examinations were written), for tertiary students.
  • Proof of parent/guardian income (letter from employer, sworn statement, or tax return statement).
  • Sworn affidavits if the parent/guardian is unemployed.
  • Death certificates (if parent/guardian is deceased).
  • Divorce certificate (if parents are divorced).
  • Sworn statement from one parent (if parents are separated).

FNB Fun Bursary:

The First National Bank Fund (FNB) Bursary Programme provides partial bursaries for students pursuing degrees in Commerce, Science, or Engineering. Various fields within these categories are eligible for the bursary.

Requirements and Eligibility:

To be eligible for the FNB Fun Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Good academic standing.
  • Proven financial need.
  • Completed Matric/NSC within the last two years.
  • South African citizenship.
  • Preference given to females, applicants from rural or disadvantaged communities, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Full-time undergraduate students, excluding Honours in Accounting, which must include courses for Chartered Accountant qualification.
  • Specific minimum subject requirements based on the field of study.

How to Apply and Application Details:

To apply for the FNB Fun Bursary:

  1. Download and complete the StudyTrust Application Form in PDF format.
  2. Submit your completed form and supporting documents (in PDF format with a maximum file size of 1MB) via email, fax, or post.

Required Documents:

Attach the following certified copies of documents to your application:

  • Mid-year/June examination results.
  • Latest exam results and an explanation of your current activities (if not studying this year).
  • Matric/NSC results and the latest tertiary (June) results.
  • Two testimonials: one from an educational official (principal or lecturer) and one from a community, political, or spiritual leader.
  • An essay about your life, written by you.
  • Proof of household income.
  • South African ID.
