About the Mukuru Bursary:
The Mukuru Education Fund is offering bursaries for the 2024-2025 academic year. These bursaries will be awarded to 14 students pursuing undergraduate studies in the following fields:
- Business Analysis
- Information Technology Engineers
- Software Architecture
- Software Development
- Software Development Management
- Software Quality Assurance
Bursary Value and Selection:
The Mukuru Bursary will provide financial support to a maximum value of R80,000 per student. This funding can be used to cover tuition fees and the cost of textbooks.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted between December 19 and January 3 of the following year, for interviews, which will be conducted between January 9 and January 14. The successful bursary recipients will be announced on January 25.
Eligibility Criteria for the Mukuru Bursary:
To qualify for the Mukuru Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Completion of Matric
- A minimum overall average of 70% and a Bachelor’s Pass in Matric
- Enrollment in full-time undergraduate studies in one of the specified fields
- Study year in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year
- A minimum overall average of 65% at the tertiary level
- Registration at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution (university or university of technology)
- Demonstrated financial need
- Not employed by Mukuru
- Agreement to adhere to the Mukuru Education Fund Bursary Terms and Conditions
