UFS Financial Aid NSFAS
The UFS Financial Aid NSFAS is a financial aid scheme designed to help students from low-income households access higher education. NSFAS provides full funding for tuition, accommodation and other study-related costs for qualifying students. To be eligible for NSFAS funding, students must come from households with a combined annual income of less than R350,000. Students must also be South African citizens or permanent residents, and must not already hold a degree or diploma.
To apply for NSFAS funding, students can either submit an online application or a paper application. The online application process is open from 1 September to 30 November each year, while the paper application process is open from 1 August to 31 October each year. Once an application has been submitted, students will be required to submit supporting documentation, such as proof of income and ID. NSFAS will then assess the application and make a decision on whether or not the student qualifies for funding.
