The Langeberg municipality is located in the Cape Winelands District and encompasses a large area consisting of five former municipalities: Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor, Montagu, and Robertson. Langeberg Bursary Program 2025-2026:
The Langeberg municipality offers a bursary program for the academic year 2025-2026 to support students pursuing studies in specific fields. The bursary aims to assist students in achieving their academic goals and contributing to the nation’s development. The bursary program is available for students studying in the following fields:
- Administration
- Audit
- Building & construction management
- Civil Engineering
- Finance
- Integrated Development Planning
- Administration
- Town planning
- Water purification
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Langeberg Municipality Bursary Program, students must meet the following criteria:
- Have successfully completed their Matric exams.
- Reside within the Langeberg area in the Western Cape province.
- Be pursuing one of the specified fields of study.
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- Be enrolled in an accredited and recognized tertiary institution.

Required Documents:
Applicants must submit the following documents along with their application:
- Certified copy of the ID document.
- Certified copy of Matric certificate.
- Proof of registration with the tertiary institution on its letterhead.
- Medical note specifying the disability (for disabled students).
- Written estimation of the cost of the study.
- Complete academic records on the institution letterhead.
- Cover letter supporting the application.
Additional Information:
- Incomplete applications or missing documents will result in the rejection of the application.
- Applications must be submitted before the closing date.
- Written applications should be submitted at the Ashton Municipal office.
- Clearly mark the applications as “Bursary funds.”
- The decision to award the bursary or reject the application is at the discretion of the Langeberg Municipality.
