African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) Bursary 2025-2026-2025
Modikwa Platinum Mine is offering bursaries for current/potential students who have successfully completed Grade 12 and are currently studying full-time.
Fields of Study
Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate degree studies in the following fields:
- Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mining, Industrial, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgy, Rock)
- Extraction Metallurgy
- Mine Surveying
- Safety Management
- Environmental
- Ventilation
- Ventilation/Occupational Hygiene
- Human Resources Management
- Geology
- Medicine
- Radiography/Radiology
- Social Sciences/Development Studies
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Communication
- Project Management
- Information Technology
- Finance
- Law
- Marketing
- Education
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents to be considered:
- Valid South African ID
- Copy of matric certificate
- Academic results
- Proof of registration from the institution for the qualification in the relevant field of study
- Proof of address
- If the applicant is the child of a Modikwa employee, a proof of employment letter for the parent is required
Selection Criteria
Selection of candidates will depend on:
- Academic marks of the student
- Current enrollment at a Higher Education and Training (HET) institution
- Studying towards a degree at a registered HET institution
- Consideration will be given to attaining the objectives of the Mining Charter and Employment Equity Act
Value of the Bursary
The bursary includes:
- Full payment of tuition fees
- Payment of meals and accommodation as per the bursary agreement
- Payment of all study books and materials
- A laptop as per the bursary agreement
Terms and Conditions
- Bursars must pass their studies
- Bursars must do compulsory vacation work in line with their study discipline
- Bursars who complete their studies have the opportunity to join the Modikwa Platinum Mine Graduate Programme
- Potential candidates may be required to undergo a panel interview and psychometric assessments for selection purposes

- Applications without valid copies of ID, academic results, and/or proof of registration will not be considered.
