Breede Valley Municipality Bursary Programme: Fields Covered
The bursary will be awarded for undergraduate studies in fields related to local government. It’s an ideal opportunity for students aiming for a career in the public sector or local governance.
Bursary Coverage
This bursary programme is not a full-cost bursary; however, it covers significant expenses such as accommodation, meals or transportation, registration fees, class fees, exam fees, and book fees for one academic year of study. The bursary awards will be paid directly into the tertiary institution’s bank account, providing financial support to the deserving students.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Reside within the Breede Valley Municipality area
- Currently be in Matric or have completed Matric with a minimum overall average of 50%
- Preferably be studying or intend on studying in a field related to local government at a recognized and accredited tertiary educational institution in South Africa
- Must not be receiving any other bursary award, including NSFAS
Application Process
Candidates can download and complete the Breede Valley Municipality Bursary Application Form or collect the form from the Breede Valley Municipality in Worcester, as well as the libraries in Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, Touwsrivier.
Along with the completed application form, clear copies of required documents must be submitted. Applications can be sent via post to “The Manager: Human Resources, Private Bag X3046, Worcester, 6849”, or hand-delivered to “HR Office, 53 B Baring Street, Worcester, Western Cape”.
The deadline for applications is 9th December, at 14:00. Regrettably, applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.
