ABOUT THE COMPANY – QUANTUM FOODS
Quantum Foods is a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) that specializes in providing animal feeds and poultry products to selected markets in South Africa and other African countries. It is a diversified feed and poultry business and is the largest producer of eggs in South Africa.
Quantum Foods has various business units, including Animal Feeds, Farming (Layer Farming and Broiler Farming), and Eggs. The company operates feed mills under the Nova Feeds brand in Malmesbury, George, Paterson, and Pretoria. They also have grading and packing facilities for eggs located in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, and Gauteng.
ABOUT THE QUANTUM FOODS BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
Quantum Foods is offering bursary funding for the academic year to postgraduate students who are passionate about Animal Nutrition (Monogastric and Ruminant). The bursary is specifically available at their Nova Feeds business.
Two students will be selected to receive the bursary for studies towards an MSc Agriculture or Honours qualification.
MORE ABOUT THE QUANTUM FOODS BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE & SERVICE CONTRACT
The bursary will cover either full or partial tuition fees for the remainder of the student’s studies.
Bursary recipients will be required to work at any of the Nova Feeds business units for a period of 12 months. During this time, they will gain practical on-the-job training and receive a salary.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE QUANTUM FOODS BURSARY
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be eligible for the Quantum Foods bursary:
- South African citizenship
- Studying or intending to study towards an MSc Agriculture or Honours qualification in
- Studying or intending to study at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution
- Strong academic record
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE QUANTUM FOODS BURSARY
Applicants must submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Full academic record (on institution’s letterhead)
- Proof of tertiary registration or acceptance (on institution’s letterhead)
- Curriculum Vitae
There is no application form to complete. Students need to submit the required documents mentioned above to apply.
