Voltex (PTY) Ltd, established in 1964, is the largest electrical wholesaler in Southern Africa. The company specializes in supplying and distributing a wide range of high-quality electrical and related products. Voltex offers over 60,000 products, including those related to commercial lighting, industrial lighting, power generation, renewable energy, and various specialized products and services.
The company boasts a distribution network comprising more than 54 branches across Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. This extensive network enables Voltex to provide services to various industries, including manufacturing, mining, agriculture, communication, construction, electrical, and wholesale sectors.
About the Voltex Bursary Program:
Voltex will be awarding bursaries to N5 and N6 students in their final year of study within the commercial and technical fields. The specific fields of study covered by the bursary are as follows:
- Business Administration
- Finance
- Electrical Engineering
The bursary will cover tuition fees and the cost of prescribed textbooks. The total value of the bursary will be determined based on the applicant’s debt.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the Voltex Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- South African citizenship
- Studying in one of the specified fields (N5 and N6 students only)
- In the final year of study
- Minimum overall average of 60%
- Financial need
